This is me

Who am I?

Welcome to my obligatory biography page. For some reason writing a bio makes me so uncomfortable, it is seriously a cringe inducing task. What is important? What can I leave out? What does the order in which I present my labels say about me? Ugh. (Insert eye roll.)

And in the end, that’s all this is, a catalog of labels I use to describe the hats I wear on a day to day basis.

So in no particular order:

I am Lauren. I am thirty-something, an Xennial. I am a mom to two, one girl, one boy. I am the widow of a Marine, the casualty of PTSD, his own demons, and ultimately suicide. I am a yoga teacher, a 500hr RYT and an aspiring Yoga Therapist. I am crossing my fingers, biting my nails, waiting to hear if I am going to grad school this fall. I am a Christian with a twist. I am a keeper of critters, dogs, cats, fish, a lizard, goats, chickens, and one bunny. I am a driver of a tractor and sometimes successful grower of food and flowers, and a recent collector of all the houseplants. I am a lover of art, both creating and appreciating it. I am a serial DIYer and can tend to get in over my head, but usually manage to work it out. I am loyal. I am loving. I am full of fire. I am almost always peaceful but have been known to erupt, I will throw a punch, proverbially and actually. I am curious. I am never done learning. I am finding my truth. I am walking wounded through this beautiful life. And I am so excited to share that walk with you!
